The Suffering - Xbox

The Suffering is a horror action game for the original Xbox from Midway Games. Set inside a maximum security penitentiary and the surrounding island, it follows an escape attempt that turns into a fight against grotesque prison-born creatures.

• Cleaned, tested, and guaranteed to play. The disc play surface is in nice condition.
• Combat mixes horror atmosphere with a full arsenal of brutal weapons.
• The main character can transform into a hideous, powerful beast during gameplay.
• Enemies include ghoulish monsters designed around vicious execution themes.
• Player actions lead to three different endings.
• DVD extras include The Making of: The Suffering, The Haunted Prison documentary, and a sneak peek of Psi-Ops: The Mindgate Conspiracy.

Creature design by Stan Winston Studios gives the game a specific practical-effects horror pedigree. Its prison-island setup and branching endings distinguish it from more straightforward Xbox-era action horror releases.
